I am surprisingly happy to explore new tech.
But I want to throw this damn camera against the wall right now.
I started taking photos to document my art. Photography wasn't my medium, it was just a tool.
But I enjoy it. My boyfriend is a camera fiend and I get passed his hand me downs as he upgrades and searches for the next and best toy. I'm grateful and I can generally figure out how to get a camera to do what I want, granted in very simple forms. But I have fun.
I don't have fun when little numbers and graphs appear on the screen of the camera and I know I pushed a button that got them there but can't remember where and which button to get rid of it.
I'm not stupid. I have a BFA and a Masters, I can do logic.
I have a Mac and have become really use to intuitive programs and functionality. There's stuff about Apple that doesn't thrill me but I get it or they get me.
I want a camera that it intuitive. I want it to function in a way my very right brain will understand. I know what depth of field is, I know what aperture is and I grasp shutter speed. I don't want a point and shoot. I really can think for myself.
I want to be able to play and not get lost in the process.
Maybe I just need more coffee.
